DSO Accepting Board of Director Nominations
Notice of Director Elections
DSO Electric Cooperative (DSO) is accepting nominations for three seats on DSO’s Board of Directors.
DSO’s coverage area is divided into three districts. Individuals who wish to run for a director’s seat need to be active members of the cooperative and bona fide residents of the district they wish to represent. Packets of information for those seeking to be director candidates for the board election will be available at DSO’s office in Solomon on January 2, 2026, and online (dsoelectric.com). Potential candidates must submit a completed petition packet signed by at least 15 residential members of DSO. Signed petitions must be filed in the DSO office in Solomon by 4:00 p.m. on Friday, February 6, 2026.
Positions up for election this year include the following (current directors are shown):
- West District: Position 3 (Ken Berry) – seeking re-election
- Central District: Position 3 (Bruce Spare) – open
- East District: Position 3 (David Mueller) – seeking re-election
Ballots will include those nominated by petition for the board and will be mailed to all members of the cooperative on or about March 2, 2026, and must be returned by 4:00 p.m. on March 30, 2026. Election results will be announced in the May Kansas Country Living magazine and online (dsoelectric.com) the first week of April 2026. DSO’s bylaws are available at DSO’s office in Solomon and on its website.

| February 6, 2026 | Completed petition, affirmation of director qualification, and brief bio must be filed at the DSO Solomon office by 4:00 p.m. |
| March 2, 2026 | Director election ballots will be mailed to the members. |
| March 30, 2026 | Ballots must be received at the DSO Solomon office by 4:00 p.m. |
| April 2026 | Election results will be announced on DSO’s website and in the May Kansas Country Living magazine. |
