A group of dedicated linemen from DSO Electric Cooperative offered their expertise to hurricane relief efforts in South Carolina. The team, comprised of KIFF SWISHER, BRADEN MITCHELL, ERIC BAIER and AARON TAYLOR, departed DSO in October 2024 and headed to Aiken Electric Co-op in South Carolina to help restore power after Hurricane Helene caused widespread power outages and infrastructure damage.
The linemen worked alongside crews from other utilities to restore power and rebuild the damaged electrical grid. Their experience and skillset were invaluable in helping South Carolina residents recover from the devastating effects of the hurricane.
DSO extends its heartfelt gratitude to the linemen who volunteered their time and expertise to this important mission. Their dedication and hard work will make a significant difference in the lives of those affected by the hurricane.
DSO has a long history of participating in mutual aid efforts. This commitment to assisting other communities during times of need reflects the cooperative’s core values of community service and cooperation.
