Olberding Retiring

After spending over 30 years working for electric cooperatives, Mike Olberding, Operations Manager for DSO, is retiring.
Mike came to DSO in December 2006 and has served as DSO’s operation manager since June 2013. Under his leadership, DSO has replaced hundreds of miles of aging poles and lines and has built hundreds of miles of new lines to serve new loads. I’ve appreciated that Mike always had a strong focus on safety for the linemen and DSO members and has prioritized responding to outages in a safe and timely manner.
Mike’s contributions to DSO will be missed, and we wish him well in retirement. His position will be filled internally by Tracy Turner in January 2024.
